Sometimes you stutter, and sometimes you don't…

  • You feel like you’re on an emotional rollercoaster of fear and anxiety — feeling out of control
  • You tend to stutter in specific situations with different people on different days (ex. authority figure)
  • You may experience a sense of dread before speaking, even with friends and family
  • You put a lot of effort and struggle into trying NOT to stutter, to look like a fluent speaker
  • Your fluency is never there when you need it — but always there when you don’t
  • You feel great on a “good” speech day but an absolute failure on a “bad” day
  • You tend to avoid specific people and situations to eliminate stuttering
  • You might know the speech therapy techniques inside and out but get "hijacked" transferring them to the real world

Instead, you want to be in control and…

  • Spontaneous and free when you speak, without all the 'prep' work
  • Ease of communication with others — from small talk to big speeches
  • Nothing holds you back from saying what you want to say
  • Focused on connection — not just speaking perfection
  • Living life to the fullest in pursuing dreams (and not missing out)
  • Productive and engaged in a job/career you love to do (and not just because there is little to no speaking involved)
  • Confident and capable in your abilities (no fear or anxiety)

The F-Factors are unique triggers that leads to feeling out-of-control in speaking situations

  • Nature: Your inborn nature or temperament influences the tendency to hide your stutter due to perfectionism.
  • Relationships: Who is around you explains why you stutter more with some people, especially authority figures.
  • Environment: The people, places and things in your environment trigger tension-filled stress responses.
  • Behaviours: Influenced by your comfort zone, coping strategies include avoidance and procrastination.
  • Body: Sensitive to tension, your body automatically triggers a stress response in fearful speaking situations.
  • Heart: Beneath your stuttering iceberg — fear, anxiety and shame negatively affects your emotional health.
  • Mind: Your type of mindset and quality of thoughts makes a big difference in how you experience stuttering.

Clients are saying…

"When I understand why I’m stuttering, then it’s a lot easier to not beat myself up about it."

Working with Paige is like having a mirror that shows you why you are the way you are — and helps guide you to be the person you want to be. It may sound trite, but it's a life-changing experience. She doesn't "fix" you but takes away the fear and misunderstanding, so you feel you're in control of your own destiny. After working with various speech/cognitive therapists, I felt more progress was made with Paige in a short period of time.

MICHAEL, United States

"I've learned a lot about myself and stuttering, gaining insight into many psychological aspects."

From the beginning I had to push against my reluctance to share my thoughts, feelings and answer personal questions. However, I realized that it actually feels good to share with someone who can understand what I'm going through and provide valuable support. Towards the end I felt a sense of accomplishment and confidence that I can take the next steps on my own, empowered by the knowledge I acquired.

What makes this program different from speech therapy?

Takes a holistic approach

The focus of speech therapy is primarily on the mechanics of speech, with very little support for the emotional and mental impact of stuttering. For this reason, the Find Your Flow to Fluency program explores the psychological aspects, as well as other factors that impact stuttering.

Identifies fluency factors

The Find Your Flow to Fluency program dives into the factors at play contributing to your disfluency — body, thoughts, feelings, behaviour, environment, temperament and relationships. When you understand what's going on beneath your stutter, you're in control of how you respond.

Embraces your nature

Speech therapy tends to be a one-size-fits-all solution with standard tools and techniques. One key factor not taken into account is an individuals temperament or personality. This is why the Find Your Flow to Fluency program helps you work with your nature, instead of fighting against it.

With personalized coaching, you’ll have…*

  • Knowledge and skills to decrease emotional and mental tension, helping to reduce physical tension in your body (source of stuttering)
  • Renewed energy and a new perspective on what's possible in your life
  • Practice taking action that expands your comfort zone in a way that is gently challenging
  • Improved confidence, self-esteem and courage to accomplish your goals
  • Deeper sense and appreciation of who you are and who you want to be moving forward
  • Gained awareness and appreciation of your strengths and weaknesses
  • Challenged negative thoughts and reframed them to support your well-being
  • Less desire to seek external validation from others as you learn to appreciate yourself
  • Freedom to authentically express yourself in a way feels good to you
  • Be more in touch with your thoughts and feelings for greater self-awareness
  • Expanded your mindset from 'fixed' to 'growth'
  • Awareness around putting people up on a pedestal and what to do instead
  • Embraced your inborn nature — understanding how to work with it, not against it

* Each client is responsible for their own results and outcomes.
